RosaryCord.com's selection of nylon twine, always manufactured in the USA, is a step above the rest. Great care is taken to produce a product with even diameter, superior strength, and excellent resistance to wear and tear.
Produced in the same facility which manufactures ropes used on the Great Lakes boats and on many ocean-going ships, this is not the same inexpensive "craft" twine you may find at a craft or hobby store. Our 100% twisted nylon fiber cord is manufactured from the same raw materials as shipping cord, so it is strong, durable, and intended for significant use. We are proud to have recieved compliments from members of the United States Armed Forces, serving overseas, who have been very impressed with the strength and durability of Rosaries made from our cord.
Our cord features consistently-dyed color from the first inch of cord to the last, with heat-applied colors that will not fade away or bleed off. As with any dyed product, some slight variance in color is inevitable between batches, but any cord from our outstanding selection is guaranteed to be high quality, durable, and beautiful.
We feature two sizes of cord: #36 and #9:
- #36 Rosary cord twine is perfect for making hand-knotted Rosaries. It is approximately 1/8th of an inch or 3 millimeters in diameter. Each roll of #36 Rosary cord twine is one pound in weight, approximately 550 feet in length, and can make 20 to 22 knotted rosaries, depending on construction.
- #9 Rosary cord twine is perfect for making beaded Rosaries. #9 cord is approximately 1/16th of an inch or 1.5 millimeters in diameter. Each roll of #9 Rosary cord is one pound in weight and approximately 2,350 feet in length.
